The Cherokee County E 9-1-1 Community Outreach Unit was organized into its current form in May of 2022, bringing together the former Public Education Unit and the social media aspect of the agency. 

The unit is responsible for educating the community as a whole, encompassing all age groups on the E 9-1-1 system and safety, along with its partners at Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services, Woodstock Fire Rescue, Cherokee County EMA and...

With a special curriculum for all age groups:

  • Elementary - "Al Bee" who is the Cherokee County E 9-1-1 Mascot

  • Middle and High School - Career Based / Age Appropriate Services

  • Adult - Career Based / Services Offered

  • Senior - Services Offered / Tips

In addition to the public education curriculum the unit hosts and attends various events in the Cherokee County region including career fairs, national night out, senior extravaganza, Riverfest, festivals, Tim Tebow's Night to Shine, Shop With A Hero, and much more.
